Benedictine University, an accredited provider of online degree programs, has announced the launch of an associate of arts in business administration (AABA) program.

The new offering is designed for students who are looking for an entry level position in business, or for those who need a college-level degree to advance in their current career. Graduates of the program will reenter the business world with a strong foundation in economics, math, accounting, ethics and social psychology.

Furthermore, students who earn their associates degree can put their credits toward an online or on-campus bachelors degree in business administration. While the AABA is the first associates-level program offered by the university through an online platform, the school has numerous bachelors, masters and doctorate-level distance education offerings.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in the business and financial sectors is expected to grow by 8 percent over the next 10 years. However, due to the highly competitive nature of the field, those with a higher education degree are expected to have the best opportunities.
